Cycle Dog

For the dog who finds every creek. Cycle Dog make the collars we point people at when their dog swims, rolls and comes home smelling of pond: quick-dry webbing that does not hold odor the way ordinary nylon does, so the collar rinses clean instead of going in the bin. The brand has also built one of the best hooded raincoats we have found for Georgia weather.

The no-stink collars come in two sizes, Medium for 12 to 21 inch necks and Large for 17 to 27, at $29.99, in plaids, florals, stars and stripes, leopard and a set of reflective colors for evening walks. The raincoats are sized S/M and L/XL by back, chest and neck measurement, in blue, green and pink, with a hood and a pocket. There is a waterproof dog bed in the same spirit, and a couple of tough toys.

If your dog is somewhere between sizes, measure the neck with our two-minute guide and choose the size whose range puts the measurement near the middle. Cycle Dog gear is on the table most Saturdays from April to mid-November at the Alpharetta Farmers Market, and a wet dog is a fine reason to visit.
